Witness the Future of Defense Acquisition

The Tri-Service Open Architecture Interoperability Demonstration (TSOA-ID) Atlanta was a unique event for the media, acquisition community, and industry influencers. Held on January 29, 2020, the event was sponsored by Representative Commands from Branches of the United States Armed Services and hosted by Georgia Tech Research Institute at the GTRI Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Leading Open Architecture experts gave live, hands-on demonstrations of Systems Acquisition and Integration, Module Specification and Development, Conformance (qualification), culminating with Open Systems Realization. Joining Tri-Service representatives in demos were select industry vendors representing Industry and Government partnerships with HOST, FACE™, SOSA™, CMOSS, and VITA Standards development organizations.

TSOA-ID (events) are designed for guests to experience and witness a greater maturity and acceptance of OA development. With FACE™, as well as standards defined through HOST, SOSA™, CMOSS, several Army, Navy and Air Force representatives showcased the ease of interoperability (exchange of hardware and software modules) which allows for faster incorporation of innovation and delivery of new capabilities (or replacement technology) to alleviate being forced into changing all components in an entire system. The growing market ecosystem achievement breaks decades-long barriers created by tightly integrated systems, thus allowing new capabilities to be transitioned orders of magnitude faster than in the past.
